Sigh. The vanity of remorse. My Photoshop has been temporarily disposed of. Fortunately, I can salvage (well actually utilize) and dust off my old copy of Corel's Painter 9.

An incomplete birthday present

Back story: I had received a short notice from a friend to produce an illustration (read: two-three days of my procrastination) for her birthday.
Being an art blog/sketchbook/website admirer, I had uncovered an astounding amount of inspiration from Ryan Wood's Disney's Princess exercise and Katie De Sousa's participation.
P.S. If it wasn't painfully obvious, I am extremely rusty. I must confess: it feels great to be painting and sketching again.
